EcoGerminar has developed work in the areas of democracy and civic participation, but it is necessary to include minorities and migrants in society and especially in local decisions. The main objective is to include ethnic and migrant minorities in society through a platform, so that they can have an active voice to make their contribution to the smooth functioning of local democracy. Some activities will be collecting testimonies, community assemblies, collecting videos and or photos.

The project takes place in the Castelo Branco district (Centro), located in the interior of Portugal

The Castelo Branco district is located in the interior of mainland Portugal. Inland cities have a low population density and are aging territories. This district can be considered a territory that is located outside the large urban centers, being beneficial for the project, due to the proximity between the target audience and the EcoGerminar Association.
This project aims to give a voice and integrate migrants / ethnic minorities in society. There are several individuals with these characteristics residing in the district of Castelo Branco and they may be interested in getting involved in society and democracy, however they may not be able to integrate due to the exclusion that may exist, and this project allows to solve this so current problem.

The target group of this project are migrants / ethical minorities, these are individuals who are excluded from society, that is, they are not integrated and have no active voice in society and democracy, in the district of Castelo Branco. Associação EcoGerminar intends to design a digital platform where migrants can give their opinion and their point of view regarding this very current problem. With this platform, the EcoGerminar Association intends to sensitize individuals to the situation of migrants / ethnic minorities and, in this way, integrate them, include them and give them a voice in our society and in our democracy.

In order to implement our idea, we will create an online platform in order to give voice to those who do not have it. This platform will be aimed at migrants and ethnic minorities who are inserted in rural villages or urban centers and who want to be involved in democratic processes, but are unable to do so. Before creating the platform, we will contact some migrants to explain our proposal and hear some suggestions for improvement. All this work will be done in partnership with local entities with responsibility in this area.
After listening to the migrants' suggestions, we will create the platform and through it they can expose their opinion and be a space for sharing and reflection.

Many migrants who are based in rural villages or urban centers would like to have a more active voice in political processes, but are unable to do so. They often have a lot of information and opinions about society and politics, but they are never asked for opinions. It is intended that recipients cease to be exclusively passive agents with regard to democratic processes and may have a greater integration in decision-making processes. It is expected to involve 150 people in these situations, at least in 4 counties in the district of Castelo Branco creating 4 partnerships in this area. It is also intended to make a set of 40 videos and design a digital platform for this purpose. In the end, it is intended to disseminate the results in a public session.

The project that Associação EcoGerminar intends to implement, improves the involvement of the target audience in society, since it intends to integrate and give voice to migrants / ethical minorities who live in the district of Castelo Branco.
This idea promotes citizen participation in society, the main objective of this project is to give voice to those who do not have it, and to include / integrate migrants more actively in society in democracy and citizenship. This project seeks to reduce the social exclusion that these individuals may be experiencing and in this way the EcoGerminar Association intends to make a difference with this project, making the exclusion become minimal, thus allowing migrants to give their opinion.

All citizens have the right to actively intervene in public life, however, many migrants living in rural villages would like to have a more active voice in democratic processes, but are unable to do so. They often have a lot of information and opinions about society and democracy, but they are not asked for opinions. In this context it is intended that this project can be a high point of the participation and involvement of these citizens in decision-making processes and that they can explain their opinion in the society where they operate amply.
