Idea

Idea pitch

We perceive the school as a workplace an innovative space that fosters cooperation. Teachers need to constantly question their own practices and remain open to new ideas. From this certainty,a work team is built from the accompaniment of each one of its members, each one contributes from their potential and feels helped in their difficulties. An empathic mutual involvement, empowerment to discover a way back to a connection with others are at the core of this movement. Create close relationships

Where will your project idea take place?

Nursery schools in Madrid: Alcalá de Henares, Getafe, Majadahonda and Rivas municipalities.

What is the local challenge?

They are municipalities with a large population and a large number of schools that are not connected. Being located in the north, south, east and west, it can be a way to start the network of schools to share experiences and improve educational practice based on Good Practices in early childhood education.

How does your idea strengthen democracy and active citizenship at a local and community level?

Close relationships act as an important social cohesive, helping teachers to deal with uncertainties and difficulties from their isolation from the classroom. It is a new form of culture and civilization, another view as a measure to promote these "close relationships".

Who are you doing it for?

It is mainly aimed at the teaching and management team as vectors to network with the rest of the educational community. Children, families, service personnel, administration, neighborhood associations, all citizens ... Necessary to create a Culture of Real Children

How do you plan to get there?

From the Association, we have contact and relationship with the nursery schools of the selected municipalities. In the first place, we would make a presentation of the project to the schools.

What are the expected results?

Give prominence to educators / teachers
 Change the structure, planning of the center as part of the transforming process
 Creation of spaces and times for communication
 Break classroom insulation
 Commitment and involvement by the educational community
 Design of shared projects
 Encourage the exchange of good practices within the school and with other nursery schools.
 Partner with other 0-3 schools to manage or take advantage of common services.
 Promote teacher training.

How does your initiative contribute to strengthening democracy in Europe?

It contributes to the creation of generating changes in educational policies where the teacher and the architectural design of nursery schools with shared structures are given greater prominence. Breaking the teacher's isolation in the classroom.

What is your story?

It brings me the illusion, the desire and the commitment to generate a change in early childhood. Boys and girls deserve the best teachers.
