Project is opening cultural local environment in two directions, defend and promote cultural heritage and connect them with new ideas, modern art and approaches. We would like to create cultural environment that is open to new ideas, connected, shares knowledge and is not locked neither ignorant towards local tradition.Activate people to share their arts and accept other. We would like to put colorful content in local natural landscape and in plenty of un-used or abandoned spaces.
In region Haloze (municipalities: Podlehnik, Žetale, Videm, Zavrč, Cirkulane, Makole, Majšperk)
Region Haloze in bordelined region with Croatia and one of the most underdeveloped regions in Slovenia. A lot of yougsters are escaping this environment because lack of opportunities and conservativism in cultural environment, on the other hand history and traditional skills and knowledge is in domain of older people and is disappearing through generations. There are also a lot of abandoned or renovated traditional houses without permanent content because all the funds are focused in material infrastructure. There is lack of cultural exchange and open cultural environment, events that would combine local resources and people and also modern culture and arts. Also there is opportunity in cultural tourism but not yet evolved.
We are targeting on different groups in local environment and their involvement, especially those who feel culturally excluded and those who do not find appropriate cultural environment for their cultural development. Bringing those people together with culture.

Co-creation and collaboration
Through arts, residencies and workshops from the fields of folk singing, food, herbalism, traditional skills, nature living we would like to combine and connect different generations, modern and traditional approaches. We believe that tradition have to be passed through generations but it is also important that they are not locking social development. Through learning and invited creatives we would like to open cultural exchange, to answer local challenges, connect people.Feeling of acceptance and openess of local community is crucial for involvement of people in problem solving, coworking and co-creating. Involvement of different people and residents can make colourful space and would strenghten democracy through inclusion, and open cultural environment also for future generations.
I am living in Haloze. For five years I lived in Ljubljana where I was involved in music journalism on Radio Študent and was visiting a lot of cultural events. In 2016 I returned into local environment where there was only cultural events connected with traditions. It was difficult for me, as a musician, journalist and organizer to involve and to accept such environmet and also vice versa. So I started to participate in many local organization and started to organize events, invite musicians from elsewhere and host them at my home that we could create together. At the same time I began to be interested a lot in local traditions and tried to combine all those approaches to make cultural environment open and evolving for me and others.
