We are the committee of the Italian Red Cross of Strada in Chianti. Over the years our organization has grown and with great satisfaction has managed to establish a twinning with Bacau Following the twinning we would like to carry out exchanges and experiences of international volunteering. Also We want to give an ambulance to a small rural country 50 Km away from Bacau so that they could improve and increase relief assistance.

We would like to improve the rescue service offered to citizens by expanding the knowledge of volunteers in different contexts and cultures by supporting international volunteering. Following the twinning we would like to carry out exchanges and experiences of international volunteering: hosting their volunteers and making them participate in emergency services and social activities; in the same way we would like to go to their committee and support them to help citizens. We would like to bring an economic benefit (ambulance) to a poorer country far away from urban centres so that it could improve and increase relief assistance and help for citizens and guarantee a higher social inclusion.

The citizens of Strada in Chianti and Bacau will have benefits because the volunteers will gain more experience. The rural community will have a new ambulance for emergencies.

Steps:
1) Twinning.
2) Volunteers from the Bacau committee come to Strada in Chianti. They go to emergency service and Esculapio with us and with the presence of an Italian-Romanian mediator.
3) Send the ambulance to Bacau.
4) Our volunteers go to Bacau.

Union, interchange, social inclusion. Collaborations in case of international emergency.

Citizens are involved as trained volunteers who help the population and as people who receive support. In addition, the rural community will have a new emergency vehicle.

Following the renewal of the chairman of the board, we set ourselves innovative projects that had not been taken into consideration in previous managements. This project brings together all the principles underlying the Italian Red Cross and would bring concrete help to a country in difficulty, especially following the COVID-19 emergency, and international experience.
