Program that facilitates creative interaction and the generation of links between an artist, a rural school community and a rural cultural institution in order to promote citizen participation through the approach of contemporary challenges that solve rural problems by using art as a tool.
We would focus on the "Comarca de la Sierra Norte de Madrid", at 80 km from the metropolitan area
At Pedagogías Invisibles we try to find out in what ways children have access to culture and what we perceive, IS A GREAT INEQUALITY OF POSSIBILITIES OF ACCESS TO CULTURE DEPENDING ON where you live.
This is especially aggravated in rural areas, and more specifically in the the Government of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, which is strongly centralized and in which practically all cultural activities and the necessary funding are planned and carried out with the metropolitan area in mind, leaving rural areas devoid of initiatives and means.
Through THIS INITIATIVE, WE WANT TO GUARANTEE ACCESS TO CULTURE AS A SPACE TO PROMOTE CRITICAL AND PARTICIPATORY CITIZENSHIP. WE WILL USE THIS RESOURCE TO WORK ON INITIATIVES THAT RESPOND TO LOCAL CHALLENGES THROUGH AN ARTISTIC PROCESSES.
The people with whom we will work will be teachers of first and secondary levels of any discipline of public educational centers located in the Sierra Norte de Madrid. In addition to them, artists will work with their groups of students (between 6 and 14 years old). Each group of students will be about 25 people. In total, 8 teachers and approximately 200 students
Objectives:
Address contemporary challenges in the rural environment through citizen participation.
Activate the presence and social legitimacy of rural cultural and educational institutions as fundamental agents for the good development of the community, as well as to promote collaboration links between the two.

By providing of responses to the local issues that the community was dealing with
By Empowering the local agents. They will be an active part of the project and their wishes and needs will have been taken into account.
By empowering the educational community, which will be the engine of implementation of the process
By providing access to unusual artistic and cultural processes in these rural areas
By activating new collaboration networks thanks to citizen participation promoted by the project
By a closer collaboration between art centers and schools.
At Pedagogías Invisibles we work through artistic processes because we believe that artistic thinking is the basis for divergent thinking and critical citizenship. For this reason, RESONANCES seeks to involve students and their teachers in an active role through which they encounter the process of creation with an artist, sharing their vision and getting first-hand experience of some of the fundamental processes of art. RESONANCES seeks to enhance the relationships and synergies that arise from the collective processes of art creation, which are aimed at a triple action: for the educational community to move from passive teaching strategies to phases of a creative active process; for the cultural and educational institution to be understood as related entities; and for the artist.
Many of the people who work today in Pedagogías Invisibles, come from provincial cities where access to cultural activities and the benefits they entail have not come easily. When we moved to Madrid, we really saw the potential for citizen participation and emancipation that cultural processes have, so we feel responsible for bringing these processes to areas with little access to culture.
