Stop the fear! Stop our self isolation out of shame for our personal history and experience. The project is comin from idea »Osebno je posebno« = »Personal is precious« www.ojoj.blog. It is raising the awareness of the experience of forced migration, war or death, which is shared by many people. Despite such heavy personal challenges and collective traumata, people are still full of energy and love.
Let’s stop the fear, the shame and the silence! We are all important. Let’s get heard!

Ravne na Koroškem is a small city with 7,268 inhabitants, without highway and extremely poor train connection. So it is very isolated. Sometimes it feels as if here it is a different way of life and maybe it is. It has industrial history of coal mining and steel factory. The most of inhabitants are workers. This is very simply region, full of forest and small houses. People here are nice and shy. Always used to follow and they have a feeling of inferiority. Their opinions is never heard and also very rarely spoken.
With No shame project this needs to change. But let's start from beginning with personal approach and encourage people to first stand up for their words and speak loud.

Our main focus is to target intergeneration audience, because we believe that future is conecting the minds of experience seniors with energetic and active youngsters. We want
people to understand different perspectives in their thinking. We believe, that if you do not understand it does not mean that this prespective does not exist. We will make it more visible and part of society with active participation. This is not just about listening and hearing, this is about acting together.

In order to have active participation we need to encourage people to speak up and also to raise an awarness about their importance. Our target group is people who live in elderly homes and through them we will spread the idea of NO SHAME to their friends and relatives and even widely, when they will spread the words.
THE WISE AND RESTLESS
We call our main target group "the wise" and us "restless" and often lost without focus. But they know the world through the war, big political changes, hippy times and some of them even second world war. They need to speak about freedom, courage and also about shame and fight for the rights. It looks like we will need this knowledge more then we thought. Our times become unstable and we need to recognize and also demand our rights.

I’m Tea Kovše, 31 years old and in my short existence I moved from town to town 8 times. In the season 2017/18 I moved four times. First because I broke up with my boyfriend and went to live with my parents. Bad idea. I decided to move to my grandfather and ended up taking care of him, as I became his only friend and security. After a while this situation became too intense and I took a little apartment close by to have my own intimate space. During the nights I was there and during the days I was with my grandfather. In this period I found out that he was diagnosed with paranoia. It got worse and he was moved to a mental hospital, and from there to an elderly home. So suddenly I was living alone in his apartment, taking care of his things. This was in March 2017. Now, I continuing.
