With the catchy format, such as visual-, performance art and filmmaking we would like to
raise awareness on the rights, situations of persons with disabilities including internationally recognized human rights, which are essential to the function of democratic institutions.

We would like involve rural areas, poor regions:
Hungary, Salgótarján, Balassagyarmat, Nyíregyháza

By our project we would like to encourage the representatives of communities to stand
up for their rights, and be part of the decision making, democratic structures.
In rural areas there is more need of support as they usually don’t have even basic arrangements like: ramps, and there is no option to use the public transportations. It is
very hard to accept that there are people who are just isolated and can not do much for
their future, not really included in the society.
OBJECTIVES:

- raise awareness about the gaps of democracy, which is vital to the success of this struggle
- resolve social indifferense without debilitating violence and adjust peacefully to ever changing conditions

We would like have participants half to half percentage of physical and economical/social disabilities. With this opportunity we would like encourage to live independent and valued lifes. It is important include and bring out people, who just stuck at their homes cause of their physical issues. Project provides opportunity in total for 60 participants. The aim is to gather participants from the poor regions. By the economical level of the country, there is a big number of poverty and isolated areas with reduced circumstances. It is important to mix physically framed and physically healthy participants, so they will learn and experience inclusion. We would like to keep the gender balance in the group and will work with same participants from each partner in all phases.

We will have two main phases:
Phase 1. - Theatre
I. Getting to know each other, ice breaking activities + assessment of situation
2 days- Visual art: (Collage,Drawing)
II. 4 days -Performance art: (Dance, Music, Installation)
III. 4 days-Theatre Of Oppressed (Theory, Practising branches of it, Forum Theatre
IV. 4 days - Project work: Perfomance (Theatre of Oppressed)
The public event will be open to everyone and also press representatives will be invited.
Phase 2.- Filmmaking
2 days- Theory: Discussions, exercises, games, screenings.
3 days-Practise: Focus on the tools of moving image.
7 days-Project work: short movie making, premier

The whole project will be about raising awareness of issues and situations of disabled people, especially in rural areas. It is important not only work for them, but also with them. We want to improve participant’s social-, communication-, and language skills, that will be a crucial help for them in the future, when they will try to overcome their disadvantages. Our aim is also to empower, encourage them to be part of educational systems, and include them in the labor market.

OTHER OBJECTIVES:
- encourage the participants to realise their full potential and contribute to the enrichment of society itself,
-participate in the decisions that will affect their lives and well-being
- by the power of art and media to make their voices heard towards the authorities, so they become responsive to their needs
- by the cultural framework we would like to strengthen the work of institutions
and the democratic governance
- to take account of cultural and economic diversity
- make the steps towards free press, expressions, and cultural activities.
- to foster learning and understanding
- discover each other’s way of living
- learn new ways of communication and creative tools that they can implement
in their local communities.

We did already a lot of similar projects, and it is always nice to have mentored peers, for whom it is a really life changing opportunity and experience. Of course unfortunately not all of them continues the new path, but all of them even just for that period, but are very excited and happy. It is nice to see how the art can motivate and bring together people and make them stronger in unity.
